Dear potential Tri, Tri Again athletes,

Welcome to the home of the
Tri, Tri Again Backwoods Mini-Repeated Trail Triathlon.  I designed the course and concept for two reasons: First, I wanted to
design a way to raise money for local charities, in hopes of helping others.  2008, our first year, brought in more than $2,700, and 100% of the profits were
sent to local charity causes, and I plan to grow each year with your support.  Last year, 2009, our numbers grew slightly, and I anticipate continuing to grow for
years to come!  Secondly, I love running God's beautiful trails through the woods, rather than dodging traffic, inhaling carbon monoxide fumes, and worst of all,
banging my knees and joints on the hard blacktop roads!
Ever wanted to do a triathlon?  This is a perfect first Tri for many who are in excellent physical condition.  Likewise, if you are a seasoned triathlete, your skills
and strengths will be tested at the
Tri, Tri Again as well.  An athlete in top condition can potentially cover between 22.5 and 27 miles of trail run, mountain bike,
and lake swim (big pond).  Not up to the challenge all by yourself?  Get a team of 2 or 3 friends together!  Team up with your husband or wife!  Prizes in 12
different categories, and most of all...your blood and sweat benefit others!
What's your goal?  Simple.  Complete as many loops of the triathlon (run, bike, swim) as you can in the 3 hour time limit.  Endurance and mental toughness is
the secret.  Are you ready to give it a Tri?  Come on in, and find out more information!
One warning:  If you are a road runner or road biker, be aware that this event takes place on 100% trail.  There are 4 creek crossings, one small cliff climb,
deer, turkeys, and black bear on the 115 acre course, treacherous ascents and descents, a "hill of death" for the mountain bike, stumps... big and small on the
trail, and 142,907 various sticks and rocks on the trail...but who's counting? Oh yeh...the fish don't bite!  No piranhas, only bass, bluegill, crappie, and frogs!
Road runners beware:
Blacktop is the Devil!

                                                                                   God bless you all,
                                                                                   -Mark Alexander
