Tri, Tri Again is a Blacktopisthedevil.com production; 2012
"Hi Mark, just wanted to say thanks for the nice plaque I received
earlier this week. It was a great experience and memory. Some
of my friends say, "You did what?" One of my friends chased me
down in Lowe's the next day and said he was hoping I did not
back out because of the rain, because if I survived, he wants to
do it next year. I told him it was great. See you next year !"
-Bob Espigh... Lewistown, PA (the one about to dive in the black socks!)
Do you have friends and family coming to the event this year? If so, have them take pictures of the
Tri, Tri Again and e-mail them to me. If the pictures are interesting, unique, or in any other
way...special, they may make it onto next year's winning photo page!

GRAND PRIZE:
"Youthful Enthusiasm"
PLEASE don't be fooled by the happy expression on 10 year
old Julia Hornberger's face! She trains throughout the year
with the local cross country team, even though she is too young
to compete with the team! THAT is dedication, and results in a
youthful enthusiasm which is hard to match on the Tri, Tri Again
trail! Julia helped her TTA team to finish 3rd overall with her
speedy trail running. Well done, Julia!

Race day, 2011, found this
group of turkey hens, and their
young poults (baby turkeys)
scattering away from the
commotion of a triathlon
through the deep, dark woods!

GRAND PRIZE:
"Fifty-three, Shmifty-three!"
This hot shot, taken on the backside of the mountain
bike trail, captures 53 year old Michael McCloud zooming
into a corner bank at high speed! Great camera work
catches Michael in perfect focus, while his environment is
no more than a blur! Mike says that he did the Tri, Tri
Again to help a good cause and help him to train for an
upcoming Olympic triathlon! Best of luck to you, sir!
GRAND PRIZE:
"The Monarch"
18 year old, Michael Jones, decided to create a team this year,
rather than attempt a third individual victory at the TTA. If you have
ever been a spectator at the event, then you are already too familiar
with young Mike's ability to fly through the water...typically using the
butterfly stroke, as pictured here. It truly is a thing of beauty! His fast
swim loops helped his 2 man team to win the team division this year ...
another notch in his belt. Well done, Michael!
